Description

Egg freezing, or oocyte cryopreservation, is the process of collecting mature eggs from the ovaries and freezing them. Here is the breakdown of the process you undergo during egg freezing under Dr. Niveditha. 
 1. The doctor will first assess your fertility and health condition. If you have any abnormalities, they will be treated before starting the procedure.  2. After treatments, you will be given some fertility medications, which you should take regularly for the required number of days. These medications are hormonal injections that will stimulate your ovaries to mature more than one egg simultaneously.  3. Dr. Niveditha will regularly check the development of the follicles. When the egg follicles reach the optimum size, you will be given hCG injections to promote egg rupture.  4. Around 36 hours after the hCG injections, your eggs will be retrieved from the ovaries. This minimally invasive procedure involves inserting a needle through the ovaries and collecting the mature egg follicles. (You will be under anesthesia, so you won’t feel any pain). 5. These egg follicles will be frozen in a container under your name. You can use them to get pregnant in the future.
